Rosie Frater Jeweller and Applied Artist

Right… so I’ve got my final ideas, I’ve got my plan of work. now i think i might need some materials and tools…. shame I’m on easter break.

these are samples made in porcelains to go with sound. im making wind chimes and bells for my final show. ive also started experimenting with metal chimes as well

these are some more porcelains samples all of these samples are to do with touch and textures. im trying to creat things people want to pull and squeeze.

this is another sample brooch ive made with wool. i like how silly it is but again i dont think it will be a great seller.

These are samples using a rapping technique I like. I’m thinking of making a BIG neck piece out of this and then adding loads and loads of bits to hang off it!

this is my lovely work area in college. maybe needs a clear up……or not

These are my first experiments with texture and interaction.

These are some research pieces I’ve used to see what people like to feel.

Final Major Project

For my final project in my Ba I have decided to focus on sensory perseption. I’ve been looking into how we perseve our world through our senses and focusing on touch sight and sound as well as looking into taste and smell for my final show pieces but not product ranges.

i’ll hopefully have some more professional photos taken of my pieces in the new year and finger crossed the hospice like what i’ve done and chose to display it.
